Overview: Provides multiple human resources services and support to the District. Responsible for managing the recruitment and training program, assisting the Human Resources Manager, and administering labor laws. Examples of Duties: • Manages the District's recruitment and selection program including researching, evaluating and determining effective advertising methods and recruitment strategies, developing job announcements and advertising, conducting outreach and attending job fairs and other recruitment activities in the community, responding to applicants and other entities regarding the recruitment process, screening applications and ensuring veterans and other special requirements are met, referring applicants to hiring supervisor. • Manages the Applicant Tracking System including researching, evaluating and compiling statistical information for reporting, maintaining computerized databases, and tracking metrics for strategic analysis of recruiting campaigns. • Manages the training program including developing, coordinating, and delivering labor law and HR related training to supervisors and employees, updating and delivering New Employee Orientation. • Provides advice and counsel to managers, supervisors, and staff in interpreting federal, state, and local laws, rules and policies regarding recruitment, leaves, unemployment, discipline, and discharge processes.
