POSITION SUMMARY The Human Resource Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource department, in coordination with the Director of Operations. This position oversees all HR functions for all Pahlisch Family of Brands. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Develop and administer all human resources functions, policies and procedures for all personnel at every site. - Continually recommend innovative approaches, policies and procedures to affect continual improvements company-wide to remain competitive - Manage all HR competencies such as employee relations, job performance, benefit programs, employment law compliance, record retention, employment practices, COBRA, LOA, RIF, Workers’ Compensation, Safety and Payroll - Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, company policies, employment law and the disciplinary process - Plan, organize and oversee all activities of the department. Participate in developing department goals, initiatives, objectives - Implement and update compensation program (annually): maintain job descriptions as necessary; conduct annual salary surveys and analyze compensation including for Oregon Equal Pay Act; monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary - Maintain and distribute employee handbook on policies and procedures; develop, recommend and implement new personnel policies and procedures as needed - Communicate Open Enrollment information annually, including conducting employee meetings with broker and fielding questions - Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution and an annual evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness and company fit - Manage 401(k) administration—including annual reporting with vendor - File all required compliance reporting forms and reports (e.g. EEO-1, 5500, ACA, etc.) - Oversee and manage tracking of all employee leaves including FMLA, OFLA, military, etc. Coordinate pay, benefits and other programs as applicable - Manage full cycle recruitment for all positions, with assistance from HR Generalist - Manage department record retention policies and employee files per state and federal laws - Establish and coordinate all HR programs such as Employee Recognition and Employee Referral - Coordinate all internal company events - Manage “Pahlisch Cares”, a company charitable giving program - Manage and/or delegate work involved with all other companywide employee programs - Oversee Biomed random drug testing; quarterly drawn - Be a role model of company culture and ensure company philosophy, mission and visions are practiced throughout the organization - Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the team, staff and company as a whole QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ progressive human resource experience - Senior HR Certification a plus, PHR required - Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, people development and negotiating skills - Able to work proficiently in Microsoft Word and Outlook programs - Excellent organization, oral and written communications skills - Adaptable to fast paced work environment and able to effectively prioritize a heavy work load - Strong work ethic with a high level of integrity both in and out of work environment - Possess reliable transportation - Ability to work extended hours as needed BENEFITS - Medical Plan - Dental Plan - Vision and other voluntary benefits - 401(k) Savings Plan - Paid time off including 9 paid holidays - Other fun perks!
