The ideal candidate for this position will have proven history managing and administering workers’ compensation claims, tracking medical leaves under FMLA and OFLA, administering insurance benefits and providing recruitment support. Applications Materials Include: Resume Cover Letter Letters of Recommendation (3) JOB DEFINITION: Under minimal supervision, the Human Resources Specialist II performs work independently in the comprehensive area of employee benefits. Most tasks are non-routine and require a considerable reliance upon the use of independent judgment. Determinations are generally accepted as final. Only on occasion are questions referred to the supervisor for advice. Work is evaluated by the smooth functioning of the assigned work responsibilities, accuracy, and timely completion of assignments. Frequent contact is maintained in writing, in person or over the telephone with District administrators, school principals, teachers, classified employees, insurance companies, and other State and Federal agencies regarding leave procedures and benefit programs. Work is performed with considerable technical independence. The Human Resources Specialist II works under the supervision of the Department Administrator.
