Presentation: Oregon Equal Pay Act, Part 2
The revised Oregon Equal Pay Act was implemented on January 1, 2019. Last time we chatted we provided an overview of the law and potential considerations. Since the rules have been finalized and employers continue to make progress, we have additional information to share.
The Pay Equity act remains one of the most significant changes to the management of employee compensation in years. Every employer (except federal government) in the State of Oregon is required to comply. The standards are universal and require a significant amount of up-front-work to determine compliance, evaluate pay practices and maintain compliance going forward. We will review the law, the administrative rules, eight steps to success, and other considerations.
