Summary of Presentation

Victims of domestic violence do not always show up to work with a black eye and bruises. It can manifest itself in unfavorable behaviors, health issues, interpersonal conflicts and other negative impacts on productivity.

Andrea Wickberg and Ashby Rodriguez will share how intimate partner violence dynamics can impact the workplace, how to support someone on your team who discloses that they are experiencing intimate partner violence, and resources you can offer them.

SPEAKER: Andrea Wickberg and Ashby Rodriguez

Andrea has been a Saving Grace volunteer for nearly four years and works for the City of Bend as an Associate Project Manager.  Her commitment to this community is driven by a profound respect for the people who live here and a serious passion for the occasional snowstorm.  Andrea has definitely been enjoying quarantine with her husband, two girls, and two cats who like to help her type and send important work documents.

Ashby has worked with survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence for eight years and is continually amazed by the resilience of the human spirit.  She has held various advocate positions, managed Saving Grace’s emergency shelter, and is now the Direct Service Project Manager for Saving Grace.  Ashby enjoys writing letters, exploring new parks with her pup, and tending to her many plants.”
