Summary of Presentation
Oregon OSHA recently adopted temporary COVID-19 rules on assessing, planning and training in the workplace during the current pandemic. Certain deadlines to complete a required Risk Assessment and an Infection Control Plan have already passed.
Michael Wood of Oregon OSHA will help us navigate the OSHA requirements, employer compliance and the complaint process. We'll talk about how to respond to a complaint and the resources that are available to you, the employer.
SPEAKER: Michael Wood, Oregon OSHA
Michael Wood became the administrator of the Occupational Safety and Health Division of the Oregon Department of Consumer Services (Oregon OSHA) in September 2005. Prior to taking on that responsibility, he was employed by the state of Washington for more than 21 years, with the Washington State Legislature, the Department of Labor and Industries and WISHA. Wood is a Certified Safety Professional and a graduate of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
Bend NEXT's Young Professionals program equips and empowers Bend's YP's to connect personally, grow professionally, and elevate our community. This year, Bend YP is launching the YP Passport. This allows you to invest in your employees' wellbeing and development for the entire year at one price.
In this current climate, employees are anxious about the future - fewer than 4 in 10 feels very confident they will be able to continue to meet the requirements of their job successfully, should the outbreak continue. Our programming for the year will support YP's on their professional journeys through a pandemic and out the other side. You can learn more and purchase YP passports at www.bendyp.org.
