Summary of Presentation

Dr. Tori Howes (Professor, Oregon State University) will discuss the challenges and obstacles that create conflict between employee work and home lives as well as ways in which the conflict can be lessened. The causes and consequences of work-family conflict have been heavily researched, and from this research, some clear ideas of how to manage the conflict have arisen, including during atypical times such as those during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to presenting findings in this area, Dr. Howes will encourage audience participation to generate additional ideas that others may have in an effort to build upon best practices and identify local resources for members.
