Panelists

Trevor Janek, Talent Acquisition Manager for St. Charles Health System: 

Trevor has worked with St. Charles for the last 6 years but has a deep background in recruiting/talent acquisition. With 17 years’ experience in both recruiting agencies and private companies, Trevor also has degrees in HR Management and Business Management from Portland State University. 

Matt Cabana, Senior Recruiter for Suterra and The Wonderful Company: 

Matt moved to Bend in 2019 from Anchorage, AK to work as a recruiter for Suterra. He has over 10 years of recruitment experience split between internal corporate support and managing an employment agency.  He currently recruits for Suterra and supports nation‐wide hiring strategies for The Wonderful Company. 

Brad Guthrie, Human Resources Professional: 

Brad retired from the Marine Corps after 22 years in 2016 were he spent three years as a recruiter. After retiring from the Marine Corp., he worked in HR and recruitment at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in North San Diego County. He relocated to Central Oregon and worked in retail and a second Federally Qualified Health Center. Brad holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources. 

Ashlee Freitag, Jackson’s Corner: 

Ashlee has worked in the restaurant industry for nearly 15 years. At Jackson’s Corner, where she’s spent a total of 7 years, Ashlee has lead recruitment and employee onboarding, learning to pivot and adapt to the changing climates and job markets of Central Oregon.
